Paracon 2021

Archived info on Bordertown Paracon 2021

October 2nd turned out to be the day that our dry spell in the area decided to break. We had quite the downpour right as the paracon was set to begin, but we had tents and spectators who were willing to brave the weather and join us in what turned into being one of the most fascinating afternoons we have spent in quite a while.

Lisa Martin from Dark Ozarks was present, and headed the morning discussion panel, talking all things paranormal in her neck of the woods, along with tales of possible buried treasure in the Ozarks, famous outlaws of the area, and some of the investigations she and her team have been on. Doc McGlumphy and Kristi Campbell, with Ghost Hunters of South Tulsa (G.H.O.S.T.) made the trip and shared some fascinating finds on their many hunts. Jason Alexander (The Ghost Guy), from Bartlesville, joined us for a round table during the afternoon discussion panel, as we discussed famous local lore and legends.

The event was live streamed on Facebook as well, and we had well over 600 viewers join in.

Phil Knight and Mark Bannon recorded their “What If Tomorrow” podcast, and collected some great stories from spectators, so be looking for that to come out in the near future!

This year was a great success, considering the weather and the late start on organizing. We are already working on next year’s paracon and we hope to see you there!
